But: Créer une courte scène vidéo pour le Remix Film "Wiki Love"
Il y quelques semaines eut lieu à la SAT, une "déconférence" en format Forum Ouvert sur la Collaboration, la Créativité et l'AutoGestion (Creativity, Collaboration & Self-Management) ( www.rocococamp.info). Ç'a été une fin de semaine inoubliable, réunissant développeurs, programmeurs, vidéastes, usagers (et idéalistes!) des nouveaux médias (le plus souvent, des logiciels libres) qui sont axés sur la participation des usagers. Il y a eu nombreuses conversations stimulantes sur les wikis et sur le film participatif (voir par exemple www.opensourcecinema.org), et leurs possibilités dans les movements sociaux. On a aussi parlé du potentiel de YouTube et de Facebook (quoique logiciels non-libres), pour diffuser rapidement de l'info "politique" en créant un buzz dans nos réseaux...
Ce mini-atelier mise sur votre participation pour mettre en oeuvre et tester certaines des présuppositions qui ont jailli de ce weekend. On veut créer un clip vidéo illustrant une "gag" qui nous fait encore rire, et qui se veut une métaphore sur les logiciels participatifs. On mettra ensuite le vidéo sur YouTube pour voir "how far it can travel" (donc si nous pouvons créer un buzz?!?), et sur un site de films participatifs pour inviter les gens à le rééditer et le remixer (Yeah, freeculture!!! :-)).
Donc c'est ça, c'est tout ce qui est prévu pour une petite heure de votre temps, et bien sûr la permission de rediffuser votre image dans cette expérience "Web 2.0" (si vous voulez bien participer en étant simplement un "corps", on aimerait vous avoir de la partie, et nous nous arrangerons pour ne pas montrer d'autres signes identifiants! merci :-)).
Goal: To film a scene for the "Wiki Love" Remix video (based on a joke about wikis & collaborative software that still has us laughing)
Background: A couple weeks ago, some coopers attended RecentChanges Camp (which is a pun on the wiki feature that allows you to rapidly check what's changed on a wiki website since your last visit -- hence, 'recent changes') ( www.rocococamp.info). Anyhow, this "unconference" was revealing for many aspects, not least the "Open Space" format, which enables intelligent people from all walks of life to quickly assemble in interest groups and tackle problems and brainstorm solutions head-on, rather than listen to a presenter ramble on ad infinitum in a starchy, pre-determined format. So that was the format, which some of you will experience during this skill-share weekend as well.
The "Wiki Way" is predicated on the idea that web users are also web creators: users are really participants. A new wave of collaborative video-making is on the horizon, as open-source technologies encourage the "remix culture". In addition, in conversations afterwards, we discussed the opportunities and limits of using new proprietary software such as YouTube & Facebook to create and spread a "buzz" in service of social change.
With this video, we want to test some of these hypotheses! What's asked of you is simply the willingness to appear in a short video clip that will be re-diffused w/ no rights attached; and a few moments of your time, to act out a really silly hand movement that we invented to symbolize "Wiki Love". (Also, if you'd rather not be identified, we'll work around that & would like you to participate anyway. Thanks!). Time: under an hour.
